A terrific interview with Rob Chambers

 

If you haven't seen the video where Rob Chambers is interviewed by Dr.Crounse and demonstrates Vista's SR strength, check it out. In the video, Rob does some font color adjustments, web surfing, shows a mouse grid in action that works very well, dictates a little (even adds word to the lexicon's vocabulary) and clearly demonstrates that Vista's speech recognition is about as user friendly and on the money as we could possibly ask for!

Of course, to reap the real benefits of speech recognition, you should be using it hands free! (Why we call it wireless speech recognition.. ? :-)

We have to ask:
When will the media learn it's not: "voice recognition" .. ?
Maybe when Microsoft puts up a large banner somewhere that says:
"Attention! It's not "voice" recognition - get it right.. Please!"

Nonetheless, it's terrific to see demo's like this. Vista's speech recognition needs to be evangelized, to everyone, everywhere.
It's making Bill's prediction reality.
